Windlesham Wildcats 3–1 Fleet Spurs | League
Sunday 1 November 2026
The Wildcats continued their winning start to the league season with a well-earned 3–1 victory at home against Fleet Spurs.
Despite several absences, the girls set the early tempo and took the lead with a deserved opening goal. Fleet responded with an equaliser, setting up a competitive first half.
The Wildcats reacted brilliantly, applying sustained pressure high up the pitch and putting together some excellent attacking play. Strong performances through midfield, including a cracking display in the number 10 role, helped us regain control.
That pressure brought two more goals before the break, sending us into half-time with a 3–1 lead and plenty to build on.
Fleet came out determined in the second half and enjoyed a strong spell of pressure. The girls responded with some excellent defending, supporting one another and showing real determination to protect their lead. A superb double save from our goalkeeper was a standout moment, keeping our two-goal cushion intact.
As the half progressed, the Wildcats pushed forward again and looked increasingly likely to add a fourth. Although another goal didn’t arrive, a solid second-half display ensured we saw the game through without conceding again.
Across the pitch, everyone played their part — pressing from the front, working hard in midfield and standing strong in defence. It was a proper team effort, combining good football with the resilience needed to secure the points.
Two league games, two wins — a brilliant start. Well done, Wildcats! ?⚽
